Submission

May - November 2026:

International Covid Short stories & Poetry collections: As part of our international project, we are collecting short stories, poems and rhapsodies inspired by Covid pandemic from authors around the world. If you have got a short piece (5 to 10 000 words or a poem), we warmly invite you to submit it. This is an open call for concise, powerful works that capture the human side of the Covid era.

Second Opportunity for you to join Cybirdy's venture:

We are actively seeking full-length works from authors with a significant social media presence.  We welcome complete, polished manuscripts in the following shape or genres:

  • Literary fiction
  • Poetry
  • Collection of short stories
  • Romance
  • Action & Adventure
  • Historical fiction
  • Memoir & autobiographies
  • Medical stories
  • Novellas

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Please follow the submission instructions below before sending your manuscript. We really want to give your manuscript every chance of success, so please follow these instructions precisely. We cannot consider submissions that are sent to us in any other way.

Please do not reach out to us unless you have a full, completed manuscript, polished and edited. We take care of proofreading, but we don’t offer intense editing.

Send an email to contact@cybirdypublishing.co.uk with a covering letter in the body. You should include:

  • Your book’s title, genre, and word count.
  • One or two comparable books you’d place your book alongside.
  • A compelling blurb to get us interested in the story.
  • Any information about yourself that is relevant to the work you are submitting.

Attach to the email your first 10,000 words and a one-page synopsis. The synopsis should ‘tell the story,’ with spoilers, rather than ‘sell’ the story (that is done in the introductory email). The manuscript and synopsis must be in Word format and double spaced.

We can take up to 3 weeks to consider a manuscript due to the large number of submissions we receive each day. We will be in touch if we want to pursue your manuscript or if you have been unsuccessful. We unfortunately do not have the resources to give feedback to authors that we are not offering representation to.

Best of luck!
